How does it work?

The transplanter ensures a constant flow of plants. The robot collects the plants from the tray and places them on the “sensorhead”. This consists of a conveyor belt with a selector. The selector makes sure the empty plugs fall down and that only plugs with plants continue to the hedgehog belts. These vertical belts transport the plants from the sensor head to the planting element. The rubber discs of the planting element rotate the plants in the right direction. This way, the plants are placed at the correct depth in the ground. The ground is then pressed by the pressure wheels. This pressure is continuously adjustable ‘on the go’. All this ensures an optimal start and rapid growth of the young plants.
